Inspired by soul rebels, Brass Nation started playing covers at private shows and community engagement programmes in 2013. As it grew, it began to invite guest musicians to join in and experiment with new sounds. It didn’t take long for the band to realize that there’s a demand for roving brass bands in Singapore. They began researching and referencing overseas festival bands, incorporating their own creativity into covers and bringing their audience a whole new level of entertainment.

Han Quan is a Singaporean keyboardist-composer born in 1997, he started his musical journey with Yamaha Music School at the age of 4.  Being a 4-time winner of the Yamaha Electone Festival in Singapore, and Han Quan represented Singapore in the Asia-Pacific Electone Festivals from 2013 to 2016, and the Yamaha Electone Concours in 2014 and 2016 held in Japan.  Han Quan is a strong Electone advocate and had held numerous appreciation sessions for the public.

Samsudin started learning Electone at the age of 10.  He has since achieved some of the highest accolades in the Electone scene including the Grand Prix Award in Asia Electone Festival 2006, 2nd Prize in Asia Electone Festival 2008 and winning the 3rd Prize in the prestigious Yamaha Electone Concours 2008 in Japan.  As keyboardist of a few local bands, he has performed in venues such as The Esplanade, Red Dot Museum and Hard Rock Café.
